Kidtopia

Air travel themed Role-play

Fall 2025

Kidtopia is an air travel themed role-play world that turns homes into bustling airports for kids ages 3 years and older. Designed as a mix-and-match ecosystem, the line spans the Little Flyer Airplane pop-up tent with 17+ play pieces, the Little Flight Attendant set, the Little Sky Pilot set, and the Little Air Traffic Crew set—so kids can swap roles, collaborate, and run an entire “airline” from takeoff to touchdown. Bright, photo-ready props invite imaginative stories, teamwork, and hours of open-ended play, while cohesive branding and cross-set compatibility make the collection feel like a real destination on Walmart shelves.

Inspired by an Instagram post of kids turning cardboard into an “airline,” we created Kidtopia—air-travel role-play sets that bring the joy of flying home. I led the project end-to-end, from ideation to launch, partnering with our creative team to lock the brand’s color palette and, under a tight timeline, defining all product specifications. I coordinated closely with engineering and costing to keep the vision on brief and on budget, and collaborated with our internal sew shop to select fabrics, test prints, and prototype every soft-goods component. Despite the tight schedule, I iterated the line through multiple refinements to raise quality—because, as we all know, kids deserve the best. I also authored the instruction sheet for the food cart and airplane tent, then worked with marketing and a copywriter to finalize clear, accurate, and easy-to-follow guides.
